NBTC offers swim lessons with Barracuda Aquatics with extra discounts to NBTC members! The Newport Beach Tennis Club offers a junior Olympic size heated swimming pool. The temperature is maintained at 82F year-round.

About Barracuda Aquatics

Barracuda Aquatics is owned and operated by Wayne Westling and Wes Edwards, two accomplished educators and swim providers with over 50 years of experience. The two of them alone have worked together for 34 years. Wayne and Wes started swim programs at many local clubs and homeowners associations, including Big Canyon Country Club, Newport Coast, Newport Ridge North, One Ford Road, Bonita Canyon, Marina Hills and Crystal Cove.  Wes Edwards was NBTC’s swim director for 10 years in the 90’s, with Wayne at Big Canyon CC for 41 years!  Wayne is currently the Men’s head golf coach at Saddleback College and   the Boy’s head golf coach at Aliso Niguel HS. In 20O5 he won Orange County “Coach of the Year” leading the Aliso Niguel’s Girls Golf Team.  He also led the Aliso Niguel Surf Team to three state championships.
